Hey everyone! My name is Liliana Jayme and I am excited to be the President for CHLSA this year!! I am currently a 3l and a double longhorn (Hook'em)! Apart from CHLSA, I am a Dean's Fellow, in the Women's Law Caucus, and have participated in multiple mock trial competitions. When I'm not in class, I like painting, hiking, and traveling. As President, I am really excited to help create opportunities, events, and a social community for all members of CHLSA!

I am interested in immigration law and work in the advanced immigration clinic and as a Pro Bono Scholar for the immigration project. As the Internal VP, I plan on building community within our organization through fun events and mentorship opportunities.

Hey y’all! My name is Josue Teniente, and I’m the External Vice President for CHLSA this year! I’m a rising 3L with an interest in immigration and family law. In addition to CHLSA, I'm also the communications co-chair for OUTLaw, and the symposium co-chair for Texas Hispanic Journal of Law and Policy. I'm mainly going to be in charge of Latino Law Day, but I'll also be planning other events for CHLSA, like interaffinity meet-ups and pro-bono events! Outside of class, I spend most of my time playing with my puppy, Newton, working out, reading, trying new food, and watching sports. I am excited to see what this year has in store and look forward to serving as treasurer again.

Hello everyone! My name is Lezly Cardenas and I am a 2L. I am from Brownsville, TX and I will be CHLSA's Fajita Fiesta Chair this year. I am also part of the UT Immigration Clinic, the First Generation Law Students organization, and the Public Interest Law Association. My goal as Fajita Fiesta Chair is to promote CHLSA at the law school by holding an event where students and staff can socialize while enjoying some delicious Tex-Mex cuisine.
